The Standing Stones at Avebury

I recently took a trip to Avebury with my Wife and our Friend, as I had not been there before and my Wife had not been there for many years. Avebury henge is an accent site dating around 2860BC to 2200BC that has lots of standing stones and also a circular ditch around the main perimeter. Avebury is situated on the main road between Devises and Swindon, with the road literally going through the middle of the stones. I took the photos below using a mix of Lightroom on my iPhone to capture a 12mp DNG file, and my Canon DLSR. I have processed them all in Aurora HDR 2017 (#AuroraHDR) from Trey Ratcliff and MacPhun.

Avebury is about 20mins off J16 on he M4 and is free to walk around, but parking is limited and does cost. The Henge Shop has everything you ever wanted from a henge shop and there is a National Trust shop, museum, and cafe which is very handy after a walk around the stones.
